Following your concern, according to Art 131 of the Federal Law No(8) of 1980, the Labour Law ; your employer upon expiry of your contract, shall have to bear the cost of your repatriation to your home country or to any other point that was mutually agreed upon. Or if you joins any other company in UAE itself, he shall have to bear the cost of your repatriation till the end of your service i.e. he needs to pay the cancellation processing charges only. However, where the reason for the termination is attributable to the worker, his repatriation shall be at his own expense if he has the means to pay. Hence you can ask your employer to bear the air ticket fares.
Further to your query, you can immediately bring out your current situation before the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, where you shall be adjudicated accordingly. According to the Ministerial Resolution No (724) of 2006 On the Administrative Cancellation of Sponsorship, The workers’ sponsorship shall be cancelled at the request of the worker without the consent of the sponsor :-
If the worker has applied for the cancellation of his sponsorship
If he has been caught or abandoned his work for more than 3 months and the same shall not be reported to the Labor Department
If the work relationship had been terminated before the completion of the probationary period.
Hence you will be served under the administrative capacity of the authorities and shall get the cancellation of work permit and sponsorship.
